The Story

EDDIE PALMIERI Vamonos Pa'l Monte (Craft Recordings 2026 limited edition 6-track stereo LP, an all-analogue AAA cut from the original master tapes pressed on 180-gram black vinyl. A cornerstone release in both salsa and Latin jazz, Vámonos Pa'l Monte stands among the defining albums of Eddie Palmieri's catalogue. Originally released in 1971, it combines Afro-Cuban rhythm, jazz-driven arrangement and sharp social commentary, with "Revolt / La Libertad Lógico", "Comparsa De Los Locos" and the title track all central to its reputation. The line-up includes major figures such as Charlie Palmieri, Nicky Marrero, Ronnie Cuber and Alfredo "Chocolate" Armenteros. A substantial and influential album from Palmieri's early 1970s run, it remains one of the strongest examples of his ability to bring together dancefloor energy, brass power and political edge within a single set. Housed inside a tip-on jacket picture sleeve with hyep sticker, factory sealed. Recommended)
