Originally released in 2004, the eighth studio albumfrom Neurosis is one of the most atmospheric and introspective records in their catalogue. Moving further away from the crushing density of their earlier work, the band focused on slow-building dynamics, vast soundscapes and deeply emotive arrangements, creating a record that unfolds patiently but with immense weight. Tracks such as Burn, Left To Wander and the sprawling title track The Eye Of Every Storm highlight the band’s mastery of tension and texture, demonstrating how effectively they could balance quiet, reflective passages with towering crescendos of sound.
